**Location: Remote / Singapore (Flexible)**

**Reporting to: Quant Portfolio Manager**
**Commitment: Part-time (min. 15 hrs/week)**

About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Research Intern to assist in the development, evaluation, and enhancement of live trading strategies. You will work directly with a Quant Portfolio Manager and may contribute across two research tracks: Quant Research and Fundamental Research, based on your background and interest.

This is an ideal opportunity for students or early-career professionals who are passionate about markets and want hands-on experience across alpha research, portfolio construction, and strategy evaluation.

**Key Responsibilities**
Quantitative Track
- Research and test alpha signals using Python
- Clean, process, and analyze large financial datasets (e.g. crypto, equities, macroeconomic data)
- Assist in developing and evaluating factor models
- Support backtesting and portfolio analytics infrastructure

Fundamental Track
- Conduct macroeconomic and sector-based research
- Track central bank trends, inflation/yield curves, or crypto-related fundamentals
- Assist in analyzing earnings reports, economic releases, and market-moving news
- Summarize findings to support discretionary overlays or strategy adaptation

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math, or related fields
- Solid programming skills in Python (for quant track)
- Basic understanding of statistics, finance, or economics
- Strong curiosity in markets and data-driven research
- Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly

**Nice to Have**
- Familiarity with APIs like Binance, Yahoo Finance, FRED, etc.
- Experience analyzing CTA strategy, macroeconomic indicators, or fundamental factors
- Prior research projects (personal or academic) related to trading/investing
