
Senior Assistant Manager/ Manager, Academic

**Responsibilities**
**Programme Management and Operations**
- Ensure delivery of high-quality services and operational efficiency across all graduate programmes including new initiatives such as continuing education and self-financing programmes.
- Oversee the planning, execution and management of administrative and logistic operations for experiential learning courses conducted overseas in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Oversee the annual budget submissions and ensure effective tracking and monitoring of the allocated budgets for all graduate programmes.
- Work closely with the Assistant Chair and Assistant Director to develop, implement and review administrative and student support systems to quality of the programme and student satisfaction.
- Ensure that staff within the graduate team are familiar with NTU policies on academic and student matters and ensure consistency in administering such processes across all the graduate programmes.
- Oversees teaching assignment submission, management of timetabling, and exam matters for all graduate programmes.
- Coordinate and collate data or reports on graduate programmes as required for school, College or NTU departments.
- Maintain rapport with both internal (i.e., Programme Directors, faculty and part-timers teaching in the programme, Office of Admissions, Office of Academic Services, Office of Finance, Graduate College etc) and external stakeholders (e.g. students, alumni, external organisations, vendors).
**Academic Affairs**
- Review and streamline processes associated with academic and student administration and ensuring that internal processes are in compliance with NTU policies.
- Oversee submission of proposal papers for new graduate programmes, new courses, programme change requests, curriculum review, fee revisions, etc.
- Support the Assistant Chair, Assistant Director as well as the Programme Directors on academic counselling cases if required.
**Marketing and Admissions**
- Work closely with the Programme Directors, Assistant Chair, Assistant Director and Communications team to develop effective marketing plan for graduate programmes (including new initiatives like FlexiMasters and Graduate Certificate Programmes) to support recruitment objectives.
- Identify and coordinate various marketing and promotional activities including local and international information sessions and selected education fairs and exhibitions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage the marketing and recruitment budget for each financial year.
- Conceptualise and develop strategies for outreach for example alumni, industry partners, companies to market for admissions and generate leads for the graduate programmes including the FlexiMasters and Graduate Certificate programmes.
- Coordinate and manage admission-related activities, which include interviews, skype sessions, shortlisting and evaluation.
**Team Management (for Manager role)**
- Lead and manage a team of staff in relation to student academic matters, programme advising and related matters, ensure the smooth operations of all graduate degree programmes.
- Build a competent and motivated team through coaching, workplace learning, providing timely feedback and performance monitoring.
**Student Engagement and Alumni Relations**
- Conceptualise and develop strategies to increase the engagement of current students and alumni.
- Lead and coordinate projects and events, such as new intake orientation, information sessions, graduation celebration, networking sessions, career talks, industry events etc.
- Update and track information on graduate alumni, working with the University Advancement Office.
**Other Ad-hoc duties**
- Activities Including but not limited to providing support in the annual audit process, participate in events/activities organized by the school, College or NTU.
**Requirements**:
- A bachelor degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant working experience in a similar job scope and in the higher education environment. Supervisory experience is a must. Strong leadership, organizational and supervisory skills
- Professional attitude with good interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Ability to make decisions
- Organised and meticulous
- Conceptual and analytical thinking skills
- Tactful in dealing with different parties and stakeholders
