Product Lead, Cards

As a **Product Lead, Cards **you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

Reporting to the Business Head of Cards and Lending, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and deliver one of our key engagement and revenue generating product propositions. As Product Lead, cards you would cover - both debit and credit cards, ensuring a cohesive overall customer value proposition for our customers for their payment and borrowing needs covering their lifecycle events. You are a digital native with a natural intuition for design and technology, coupled with a strategic mindset. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high degrees of ambiguity, get excited by solving complex problems and are happy to roll your sleeves up and get things done.

**The Role Responsibility**:

- Define the cards product roadmap and strategy.
- Define and execute acquisition strategy
- Responsible for delivering the cards P&L and KPI's.
- Drive the day-to-day card operations with technology and operations.
- Ensure no lapses in controls and process, promptly put in place, and execute action plan to mitigate risk which emerges.
- Responsible for Cards RCSA's and their testing.
- Manage existing partner relationship and build new alliances to enhance the card proposition.
- Be the voice of the customer for your product/service and collaborate with other product owners to converge on a broader coherent proposition
- Drive customer engagement - spends and balances by deploying relevant campaigns and making changes to the CVP.
- Business owner of all cards related systems - card processor, 3DS, product master, rewards etc.
- Act as the senior product owner across the product and services, to define and manage the product backlog, prioritising feature releases in line with the broader roadmap.
- Define a compelling service proposition through innovative product management/development amid intensifying competition from traditional card issuers and emerging third-party payment providers.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering team and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality product and service proposition to customers.
- Provide insights into product, technology, and market trends, pre-empting imminent disruptions and identifying opportunities for acceleration
- Stakeholder management - Collaborate with other Stream Leads, Design, Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance and Strategic partnership etc.

- 10 year's progressive experience in Product Management in Financial Institutions, leading a business unit responsible for achieving financial sales and service performance objectives through a customer needs-based sales approach.
- 5+ years of Cards Product Ownership experience - managed card operations
- Experience in credit and fraud risk management
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (finance, computer science, electrical engineering, etc).
- Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies.
- A strong customer focus and a natural inclination to let empirical research define and inform product/service priorities.
- Hands on experience in agile environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication.
