Finance Manager, Amazon Fresh Singapore

8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

This exciting role will oversee the entirety of the SG Fresh business, helping to manage performance, drive strategy and closely business partner teams across retail, marketing and operations. The role is part of the WW Fresh family, where the wider team drives the Grocery strategy globally, so there are numerous opportunities to work on cross-functional projects and share learnings across locales. In addition to supporting the core Fresh business, the role will oversee the nascent Grocery Partnerships business - helping the team to attract new partners and sustainably grow that business.

Key job responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with the business team to be able to positively influence performance
- Lead planning processes, partnering with the business team and central FP&A
- Help drive the strategy of the Fresh business - this often requires the delicate balancing of profitability and service offering, making the Finance role absolutely front and centre of the team.
- Participate actively in the International Fresh Finance team, taking on cross-functional projects and getting involved with cross-country mechanisms such as monthly "Finance Academies".
- Think Big around tests, innovations and other ways in which Fresh can grow and delight customers.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Ops colleagues to ensure that the "full P&L" perspective comes through clearly. This role is all about understanding how everything fits together and helping keep the business team informed on this.
- Help drive a control environment across SG Fresh, ensuring compliance and cost control.

A day in the life
- Partner with Mizue Arakawa (Fresh APAC lead) and the SG business team led by Vaibhav Saravgi to manage the performance and drive the strategy of the SG business
- Fresh is not a "typical" Amazon business - it's about food and about customers building baskets with us. This requires a different mindset and "Fresh" thinking.
- Practically this means there is no "typical" week. Outside of the recurring mechanisms (WBRs, MBRs etc.), there is a huge variety of tasks ranging from driving the path to profit by supporting on various initiatives, to partnering with the teams on innovative tests.

About the team

This is an IC role but very closely partners with the International Fresh Finance Team. This team is spread across 7 countries and therefore is very adept and working cross-country and sharing information. This means we are a close team, despite the geographical location

- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making
