Manager, Digital Business Partner

**Key Purpose of the Role**:
Managing a regional team, you will develop your team to engage global stakeholders and technologists to achieve set goals by providing a full range of digital assets creation services to global brands. Representing Digital Product Creation (DPC) team as the trusted advisor. As a Digital Business Partner, you act as a mediator between the materials teams and the technical teams, having a deep understanding of needs from both sides, and translating needs into design requirements where physical artifacts, such as materials features and / or processes, leading technical teams to design and develop. Iterating and making improvements to existing plans by incorporating feedback from global stakeholders and ensuring environmental conditions comply with organization’s safety standards, local and national regulatory agencies.

Develops trusted business relationships based on giving full transparency in terms of business enablement opportunities, roadmap, cost performance for that business, and is fully responsible for all Digital needs relevant for that business. In this role, you will work closely with the Director to develop processes to produce innovative and aesthetic digital products from visualization to other digital output. This will require you to think both creatively and critically and build consensus with internal clients and staff on proposed solutions.

Elevate brands with the capabilities to better understand, value and take advantage of digital technology. Work with leading brands and emerging technology to create value and achieve consumer relevance at scale. Ultimately aiming to use digital technology as a key enabler to drive brand engagement. You will need to have a proven track record of creating engaging contents, a keen eye for design and a strong sense of visual storytelling. This should be supported by a human-centered creative and design-thinking approach to solving problems.

As a working leader, you will need to be able to estimate your work, and the work of your team, accurately and with confidence. You will evaluate team performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and manage that improvement through to realization.

**Area of Responsibility**:

- Extensive industry knowledge of digital material (fabrics & 2D/3D Trims) to evolve process, standards, and libraries.
- Develop, socialize, and execute training and execution plans for material digitization (material capture and testing) for fabric and trim suppliers, while tracking progress, supplier quality and performance metrics.
- Communication with 3D teams and cross-functional partners to provide digital materials on time and according to VF standards; implement continuous improvement model.
- Partner and communicate with brands, suppliers, and vendors to maintain digital material libraries.
- Continuously learn tool knowledge and virtualization tools for understanding of virtual materials in the apparel, equipment/accessory, and footwear industries to be leveraged to evolve material strategy and process.
- Industry knowledge of fabrics and materials used on apparel, equipment/accessory, and footwear product.
- Lead, mentor and develop team in hard and soft skills, including stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination.

**Experience & Skills**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a digital team of at least 2 designers.
- Highly proficient in texture map creation and comprehensive understanding of digital materials
- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Modo, Maya or Blender
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and organizational skills required
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Eye for detail and excellent understanding of essentials for capturing material data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in tools such as Xtex a plus
