DESIGNATION : Class Assistant Teacher (Based in Japan)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Class Assistant Teacher is responsible to the Management Team in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities to meet the curriculum requirements of the assigned school

- Show leadership that contributes to effective teaching and learning.
- Conceptualise, plan and implement an appropriate learning programme.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Demonstrate in practice knowledge and understanding of how children learn.
- Respond effectively to the diverse language and cultural experiences, and the varied strengths, interests and needs of individuals and groups of children.
- Analyse and appropriately use assessment information which has been gathered formally and informally.
- Use critical inquiry and problem solving effectively in professional practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelors degree in Primary Education from a recognised University with not less than 3 years full-time study.
- Teachers Certificates, Diplomas or other Teacher Accreditation courses and certification are required if the applicants degree is not in Education.
- Experience in outdoor learning and expedition is highly regarded
- At least 4 years of relevant professional teaching experience, preferably in an international school environment.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry based learning is required.
- Applicants must be fluent English speakers, not necessarily native English speakers.
- Willingness to commit to a 2 year contract.
