About Our Team
TikTok's UX team is responsible for the product design of the TikTok app. Our primary areas of ownership include the core app structure, social features, search functionality, creation tools, and design systems. By utilizing professional design methods and practices, our team aims to enhance the user experience and improve the efficiency of these products and areas.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Design for Search related features on TikTok, the creative short video platform that targets global users;
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers;
3. Participate in every aspect of the product development process, from generating ideas to refining pixel-perfect designs before launch;
4. Rapidly prototype conceptual product ideas, design user flows based on data analysis and user research, gather feedback from various stakeholders, iterate on designs, and deliver products with the best user experience;
5. Continuously optimize and take responsibility for the overall product experience.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications
1. 3+ years designing UX for consumer-facing products across multiple platforms(mobile, web & desktop), preferably in the content creation or consumption space;
3. Strong in visual design, interaction design, and regularly execute prototypes using tools like Principle, Framer, or AE to rapidly test and iterate complex interactions and experiences;
4. Strong ownership with ability to think at a high level about product strategy;
5. Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the organization;
2. Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts;
3. Experience with A/B testing and a data driven practice;
4. Familiar with development methods and able to effectively balance implementation of cost and plan benefits;
5. Results oriented and resilient. Ability to fit within a startup culture which celebrates efficiency and driving impact;
6. Knowledge of working with Figma, Principal, Adobe Creative Suite, and OSX, iOS & Android;
