[What the role is]

Enterprise Singapore's China Group provides in-market assistance to Singapore-based companies looking to expand their international footprint to China by identifying and developing opportunities there, including exports, overseas investments, joint ventures and other business alliances.

[What you will be working on]

The job entails helping Singapore companies enter the market and/or grow their presence in China. This includes close monitoring of the political and economic landscapes in China, understanding of Singapore companies' operations in China, identifying opportunities and challenges, including regulatory roadblocks and in-market practices, and developing and implementing strategies to build strategic partnerships and facilitate market access. You will also support the various Government-to-Government engagements to foster bilateral trade and economic relations between China and Singapore.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in government policy formulation, international relations and/or business or market development
- Strong analytical skills and ability to discern policy implications and market/business opportunities
- Effective team player with good communication and inter-personal skills
- Chinese language proficiency
- Independent, mature and steady to handle challenging situations and/or projects
