Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator

**Job Purpose**
To access severity of the damaged vehicle and prepare estimate thru VDAS or Manual Estimate Form (system down).
- To raise work referral order to contractor for external repair and maintenance order/part requisition for parts for internal repair for all accident taxis/buses.

**Responsibilities**
A. Accident
- Ensure accident estimates are promptly prepared and liaise with surveyor.
- Recommended competent contractor for the repair.
- Ensure accident repair is done within stipulated time allowed by surveyor.
- Ensure all cases of accident are promptly closed and documentation like invoicing duly completed.
- B. Returned Taxis
- Liaise with SMRT Taxis to receive and inspect all returned taxis.
- Ensure all necessary rectifications are complete before next issue.
- Submit daily report on completed and outstanding repair.
- C. Quality Repair
- Ensure all repairs meet our requirements.
- Check general conditions of the vehicle before handing over to customers.
- Obtain feedback from hirers/owner on the conditions of the vehicles after accident repair, new issue and act promptly on the feedback.
- D. Productivity Movements
- Promote and participate in Quality Circle movement as a leader.
- Encourage staff’s participation in Staff Suggestion Scheme, 5S and other department committees.
- E. Workplace Safety and Health Movements
- To participate actively in company safety movement.
- To co-operate and adhere to all In-house rules and regulations.
- To comply safety plans/Programs on Personnel, Environment,

Equipment and Processes within the department.
- To understand OSHA 18000 and ISO 14000 movement.
- To adhere strictly to working at height (WAH) regulation when he/she need to access more than 3 metres when carry out a job. (Example bus roof or bus top)
- Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- F. Others
- Understand and align with Company Vision, Mission and Core Values (SMRTnI)
- Complete all job cards/documentation properly and promptly.
- Feedback to his superior on spare parts availability
- Any other tasks and assignments given by superior as part of training and development.
- Monitor turn-around time of contractors’ repairs

**Qualifications & Work Experience**
Educational Level : NTC 2 (MVM, HDDM, AM) or equivalent
- Experience : 5 Yrs in Automotive Industry
Traffic Police (Investigation) Experience preferred
