- Must be known how to read engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience in using ProE/Creo software
- Experience in mould/tooling design of die-casting or plastics moulding
- Able to study part design to determine mould initiation; parting line, gate location, shot layout
- Understand machine capabilities(Conventional/Multi-Slides)
- Understand Maximum/Minimum Material Condition
- Basic knowledge about Mold Flow Analysis
- Must know the different mould processing methods; HPDC, LPDC, Sand casting, injection moulding, etc.
- 2D detail drawings for tooling & machining processes
- Follow up with vendors regarding tooling fabrication issues
- Knowledge about heat transfers; how to create good cooling techniques in tooling
- To participate & contribute to a cross-functional team to resolve chronic issues
- Familiar with the design of 2 or 3-plate moulds
- Continuous improvement designs for longer mould life & good quality products
- Conduct internal design review meeting to illustrate mould functions
- Attend mould trial with the project engineer to validate the outcome required for mould improvement
- Perform DFM & DFMEA activities
- Ensure timely commencement & completion of all design tasks assigned by the Supervisor
- Optimize mould concepts & production platforms
- Ensure high-quality risks reduction & innovative solutions through your technical expertise in mould developments

**Requirements**:

- Task-oriented with good organizing skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
