- Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.
- About The Role
- As the Category Manager you will play a key role in Telenor’s business transformation initiatives for Cloud and Network virtualization. The Cloud strategy will give Telenor Business Units with ability to digitally transform their business with the best infrastructure, platform, industry solutions and expertise. You will support, define, and implement the sourcing strategy for Cloud and Application virtualization across the Business Units, working in close collaboration with Telenor Group functions.
- Being part of the TPC Core & Network Cloud team you will be also responsible for end to end category management, identifying, and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all of Telenor’s Business Units as well as establish appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
- In addition, Telenor Procurement Company is a home for new focus area related to providing procurement services to 3rd parties.
- Other main tasks will be:

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to componentize complex problems, prioritizing the most impactful initiatives and driving disciplined execution.
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes and achieve targets. Evaluate and standardize contract requirements across Telenor Business Units;
- Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational meetings, manage escalations, and continuously drive the organization towards our goals.
- Be accountable for the delivery of agreed savings and value-add targets

Ensure the delivery of turnkey projects, equipment, and services across the category
- Manage and develop effective and beneficial supplier relationships
Strong business knowledge in telecommunications landscape
- Strong ability to counsel and influence decision-makers by creating clear recommendations that will be presented to relevant decision makers in the executive management.

- Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract terms and conditions setup

- Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management.

Qualification And Experience Requirements
Degree from any recognised University or recognised establishment (Business, Finance, Engineering, or accounting will be beneficial)
- Minimum 5 years in a procurement / contract management / vendor management role.
