**Position Overview**:As a Food Processing Supervisor at Yummy Foods Supplier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our food processing facility's efficient and safe operation. You will be responsible for overseeing production processes, managing a team of production workers, and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in food processing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision**:Lead and manage a team of food processing workers, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Ensure that production schedules are met and daily targets are achieved.
Monitor and evaluate employee performance, conducting regular performance reviews.
- **Quality Assurance**:Enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures and food safety standards.
Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- **Production Oversight**:Coordinate and schedule activities to meet production goals and customer demand.
Monitor equipment operation and maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure the efficient operation of processing machinery.
Troubleshoot and address any operational issues that may arise during production.
- **Training and Development**:Train new employees on food processing procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
Provide ongoing training and skill development opportunities for existing staff.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production team.
- **Inventory Management**:Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure timely reordering of supplies and ingredients.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- **Safety Compliance**:Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in food processing, with at least 8-10 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and HACCP.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in using computer software for production tracking and reporting.
