ING is looking for a Head of Corporate Sales to lead the APAC Financial Markets sales activities to Corporate Clients.
***Job **Description**
The APAC Head of Corporate Sales is functionally responsible for the different local teams in the APAC region that distribute Financial Markets (FM) products to Corporate Clients - within the commercial strategy of WB & FM and within the NFR and KYC guidelines.
The Head will ensure close alignment between the corporate sales teams, working very closely together with regional and global Sectors, Lending, Portfolio Management, Structuring, and FM Trading to ensure an aligned execution of the FM and WB APAC commercial strategy.
Develops and executes a pragmatic strategic vision for the region, fully embeds the regional team and activities in the global corporate sales team and franchise, while maintaining compliant sales activities. Ensures full and efficient client coverage through close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, leveraging on CSG product and solutions and Sustainable Finance capabilities where needed, in order to maximise cross sell and overall share of wallet of our client base.
He/she reports functionally to the Global Head of Corporate Sales and hierarchically to the Regional Head of FM for APAC.
Has a deep understanding of the relevant FM product suite (investment, financing and hedging products - cash and derivatives) and how these match with corporate client needs. Is closely aligned and able to engage with FM Trading to ensure the delivery of Corporate Sales revenue targets in a way that effectively adds to the FM bottom line.
Supporting team members, coaching them and support them by delivering content senior level pitches is integral part of the job.
**Tasks and **responsibilities**:
- Accountable for the delivery of regional corporate sales revenue budget - formulate, allocate and monitor commercial objectives
- Ensure the teams are adequately staffed in terms of both quality and quantity. Build a performing and efficient regional team by differentiating client service (origination/ execution) and seeking synergies with CSG and FI sales teams
- Lead by example and install a culture of transparency and trust - enabling team members, internal and external stakeholders to be successful
- Responsible for evaluation and continuous development of team members
- Ensure continuous alignment with FM stakeholders such that FM Sales and Sector coverage are equipped to clearly position FM product capabilities towards clients
- Engage with senior external stakeholders and clients, building and maintaining an (international) professional network
- Ensure all sSales activities are conducted within ING risk policies and guidelines
**Education**:
- Master's degree preferably in Economics or other Master’s degree supplemented with Business degree
- Excellent level of English both written and verbal
**Experience**:
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in an international Financial Markets sales role towards corporate clients of which at least 5 years of managerial experience
- You are a successful salesperson with a track record of leading by example, forging team spirit through a culture of transparency and trust
- Capable of steering senior professionals, building and developing high performing teams that excel in collaboration and client coverage across products and geographies
- Proven ability with taking on a leadership role in a dynamic environment with a large number of internal and senior external stakeholders
- Practical understanding of relevant FM products and associated risks, client needs and various loan-based products
- Extensive professional network (internally and externally)
- Proven ability to engage, make deals and forge partnerships with senior clients and decision makers (up to C suite)
- Practical knowledge of KYC and compliance processes
