Consultant/senior Consultant, Business Intelligence

**About the Role**

Our Forensic Litigation and Consulting segment in Singapore provides multinational corporations, legal counsel, financial institutions, and other organizations with information required to make well-informed business decisions. Our team is retained to advise in multi-jurisdictional business transactions and investments, regulatory inquiries, compliance issues and are involved in complex, global, and high-profile litigation, arbitration, and investigation. We combine end-to-end risk advisory, investigative, and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.

Specifically, the Business Intelligence team conducts research and investigations to uncover actionable intelligence and performs value-added analysis to help decision-makers address and mitigate risk, protect assets, and make informed investment decisions to maximize opportunities.

Our experts conduct independent investigations to help clients resolve a variety of issues, including:

- Due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border transactions
- Anti-bribery and foreign corruption (FCPA / UK Bribery Act) investigations and risk assessments
- Strategic intelligence
- Pre-market entry support
- Political risk analysis
- Assets searches
- Vendor screening & assessment programs
- Whistleblower allegations
- Fraud risk assessments
- Litigation and compliance support

**What You'll Do**:

- Research and analysis of information from public-domain sources and field inquiries to support due diligence assignments, business intelligence projects, and other types of investigations.
- Evaluation of information and information sources for accuracy, reliability and relevance in assessing risk.
- Assist in the production of in-depth research and well-written reports, with all aspects of each assignment, often with tight deadlines.
- Provision of advice on how to mitigate risk.
- Proactive identification of new sources of information, and research tools and approaches as well as managing of these resources to achieve high quality and cost effectiveness.
- Supporting various corporate investigations across the region, as required, which may involve document reviews, data analysis, and interviews.
- Work on a wide variety of project-based work, across a broad range of industries and geographies in Southeast Asia and serving clients domestically and internationally.
- Support the management of client accounts.
- Drafting of proposals and client liaison during assignments.
- Client facing activities to include assisting with meetings and presentations

- A first or upper-second honors degree or higher.
- At least 3-4 years of experience for Consultant role.
- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience for Senior Consultant role.
- Outstanding English writing and reading skills required; fluency in Vietnamese / Bahasa Indonesia / Bahasa Malaysia / Chinese will be added advantage.
- A curious intellect and a keen interest in research, business intelligence, and due diligence work with strong analytical skills.
- An ability to present complicated ideas in prose form.
- Familiar with the business, political, and sociocultural aspects of Southeast Asian countries an advantage.
- Knowledge of OSINT and other research and diagnostic tools an advantage.
- Demonstrated self-starter and resourceful individual, with experience of operating in fast paced and dynamic operational settings.
- Broad professional experience, including prior international work experience/travel or experience working as part of a global dispersed team an advantage.
- Travel may be required to clients and to FTI office(s).
