This is the Job Description for a position within SJ Global Energy (Energy Transition)’s market sub-sector. Successful applicants will be part of an analyst team helping the Global Energy team to develop market intelligence, analyze industry dynamics, and identify strategic opportunities to support our GE team in recognizing business opportunities and executing projects effectively.

Overview of Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive collection and analysis of economic, demographic, and industry data from diverse sources to gain insights into industry dynamics.
- Gather and organize global energy data, consolidating information to enrich fundamental knowledge of supply and demand.
- Develop market intelligence for the energy market, providing in-house perspectives to support the team
- Utilize collected data to forecast economic and market growth, pricing trends, and other relevant factors.
- Produce insightful industry analyses, encompassing assessments of growth potential, competitive forces, substitution threats, value chain mapping, and innovation trends.
- Identify strategic opportunities to enhance competitiveness, leverage strengths, and capitalize on emerging industry trends.
- Synthesize research findings into compelling written deliverables, including the drafting of industry positioning reports or energy transition planning reports
- Present analysis outcomes, strategic insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planners, engineers, and other specialists, to ensure alignment on project outcomes.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business/Economics/Engineering or related discipline
- Possess a strong understanding of energy transition and decarbonization fundamentals. Previous experience in relevant projects is preferred
- Proficiency in forecasting tools and techniques, along with expertise in data visualization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and with external stakeholders
- Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesize research into clear, logical deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
