Singapore National Cancer Centre Singapore Full time

The Research Officer is responsible for driving and supporting National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS)’s efforts for precision oncology research. He/she will be responsible for biological specimens tracking, clinical and research data management.
- This role involves working closely with stakeholders from various divisions in NCCS and SingHealth, and external parties such as academic institutions, laboratory service and data platform service providers.**Responsibilities**:

- Work with research teams to implement workflows/SOPs for effective sample and result tracking and management.
- Maintain, evaluate and revise workflows/SOPs as needed to meet evolving requirements.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and prompt fulfillment of deliverables.
- Assist with data collection, retrieval and preparation for research studies.
- Assist with data organization and preparation for discussion at molecular tumor board.
- Assist with lab planning, budgeting and ordering to maintain smooth operations.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff e.g. interns.
- Participate in laboratory meetings.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

**Job Requirements**
- At least B.Sc in a relevant field (eg. biomedical science, biology).
- At least 2 years of work experience in laboratory research, experience with clinical sample management and/or genetic sequencing will be advantageous.
- Highly motivated, responsible, meticulous with a positive mindset.
- A team player with initiative who can also work independently.
