Job Description Summary

Assist the Segment Marketing Lead in providing a broad range of pre-sales and post-sales support for all Integrated Diagnostic Solutions instruments: operator training, troubleshooting, and all related after
- sales technical support. This role requires specialization in supporting Microbiology systems and reagents. In addition, will be required to support Molecular Diagnostics and Women’s Health when required. This role primarily supports Singapore but may be required on occasions to support countries within Southeast Asia.

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site troubleshooting of Integrated Diagnostic Solutions instruments and assays / tests, with specialization in Microbiology. This role will be required to support Molecular Diagnostics and Women’s Health platforms when required.
- Provide prompt and efficient post-installation technical support to the customers.
- Teaming with Key Account Managers on sales calls and supports as a technical consultant/expert to provide prospective customers with technical information to offer total IDS solutions to suit customer needs, and to assist in their purchasing decisions.
- Perform on-site demo and/or clinical trainings for customers.
- Will have responsibility to enable the sales organization to achieve business objectives.
- Build relationship across the value chain of the users / decision makers in the customers.
- Develop and maintain effective training materials for product platforms.
- Be proficient in functionality of the instruments and understand the processes required in the troubleshooting of assays/tests.
- Able to support by gathering customer information about technical trends/needs to support development of selling strategies and future products.
- Prepares and presents seminars to customers, potential customers and BD employees as requested.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts of the Applications/Technical department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Degree holder in Life Sciences, Major in Microbiology

Experience
- Minimum 2-3-years of technical support experience in Medical Laboratory setting, Medical Device Business, or related industry

Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong technical and significant laboratory and/or scientific background in microbiology
- Strong technical background in molecular diagnostics, cytology, and phlebotomy will be added advantage.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical and product information to both internal and external customers.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, make appointments, plan schedules and coordinate efforts with sales team, service team and support teams.
- Comfortable working in a cross functional dynamic team environment, with a start-up mentality
- May require working after office hours and on weekends, as needed by the customers to ensure continuity of service to standards of healthcare. Able to work flexible hours as required, including emergency troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of information systems and IT architecture and development of custom interfaces with LIS will be added advantage.
