Under the direct responsibility of the Executive Director, the Director of Studies is responsible for the Language Centre’s activities:
Language Centre management: manage and oversee the work of the teaching and administrative staff of the Language Centre (25 teachers, 3 classroom assistants, 1 registrar, 3 registration officers, 1 academic coordinator)
- Course offer: design update, develop and assess all French language curriculum and courses
- Develop and implement new products (courses / workshops / programs...) and teaching tools,
- Supervise the organization of all activities related to classes
- Support and supervise development of teaching materials, follow-up and evaluation tools
- Monitor annual Language Centre’s budget and contribute to its planning
- Develop and supervise the marketing and communication strategy to promote the Language Centre’s activities

Ensure proper communication is given to students/customers and teachers
- Manage AEC (managing software for language center)
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Language Centre
- Write the contents and update the website and communication documents in liaison with the Communications Manager
- Implement sustainable and relevant links between the Language Centre and the events in the gallery, the theatre and the library
- Supervise the organization of French language examinations and certifications
- Manage and deepen relationships with local academic partners
- Manage relationships with local and French institutional partners linked to the activity of the Language Centre

Supervise the teaching team and participate in the recruitment of new teachers

Follow up and support teachers: to be a resource person for pedagogical matters
