The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for this position will lead a team of Oral Care Scientific Affairs and Education (SAE) Managers to support healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders working with 3M in Asia. This person will report to the Global SAE Director as a member of the leadership team. They are responsible to lead area advocacy development, develop and execute education strategy with healthcare professionals, maintain compliance guidelines, and ensure monthly budget alignment. As Asia Scientific Affairs and Education Leader, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. The Area Scientific Affairs Leader:
- Leads Asia SAE Team
- Develops and executes education strategy aligned with annual business plans and holds all budget responsibility
- Develops the scientific story to support 3M’s Dental and Orthodontic portfolios in Asia
- Leads Asia SAE teams to develop, plan and execute peer to peer education programs within HCC guidelines
- Leads area KOL lifecycle management to support and develop advocacy with key opinion leaders in academics and clinical practice
- Maintains all contracting, reporting and payment responsibilities for healthcare professionals engaged with 3M in collaboration with Global SAE Operations team
- Develops and manages strategic educational partnerships with professional associations and universities
- Discusses clinical evidence and reviews podium presentations for peer to peer CE programs in conjunction with KOLs and Healthcare compliance
- May participate in standards committees, professional associations, standards setting organizations
- Understands product acceptance/performance in clinical use process
- Manages VOC activities including scientific advisory meetings.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, minimum qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of combined dental or orthodontic experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Proficiency and experience in project management and maintaining a detailed budget plan
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent communication skills
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Masters degree in education from an accredited institution
- 3 years of curriculum development in a private, public, government or military environment
- Skills include proficiency in virtual education and public speaking
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
Travel: May include up to 50% International or domestic travel
