**Job Summary & Responsibilities**
- Build, maintain and continuously improve the infrastructure to support AiDiffract software process for a globally distributed development team including product backlog management, source control, build tools and scripts, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, packaging and deployment tools.
- Work directly with software engineers, data analysts, SQA engineers and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated releases of quality software products.
- Establish processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including check-in validation rules, smoke and regression test checkpoint capabilities, and branch/merge processes.
- Work closely with SQA team to implement test automation tools and integrate them in CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in initiatives to improve code quality by developing code quality metrics and code coverage measurement, implementing static and dynamic analysis tools, and supporting software architecting and refactoring projects.
- Identify gaps and inefficiency in software processes and CI/CD toolchains and continuously drive operational excellence within the team.

**Qualifications**
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 2+ years of professional DevOps or Build/Release experience
- Power-user experience with software tools and services such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Jenkins, Docker, Travis CI, Git, GitHub, SVN
- Strong programming skills in C++/C#/Python
- Proficient in data structures, design patterns, object-oriented design methodologies
- Passionate about delivering quality software products to customers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Independent research and problem-solve skills
- Ownership to drive process improvements and best practices for software development

Preferred Education and Experience:

- DevOps experience supporting complex legacy software systems
- Scientific computing and numerical computation background
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience with metrology
