Job Description:

NTT DATA Singapore is hiring a Release Engineer for a 6-month contract to support digital banking systems within a leading financial institution.

The role is based at Alexandra Building .

You will be responsible for delivering infrastructure setup, middleware configuration, and supporting release and deployment activities across critical digital platforms. The role requires hands-on expertise in middleware, CI/CD pipelines, and application authentication/security , along with experience supporting banking-grade environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and configure infrastructure for new digital banking initiatives
  • Manage and implement changes for BAU environments
  • Perform middleware application installations (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere)
  • Set up web server components such as Apache and NGINX
  • Build software components from source (e.g., Apache)
  • Configure application authentication including 1-way/2-way SSL and UFW
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to deliver secure, efficient platforms
  • Support Oracle DB connectivity and RAC setup across application tiers
  • Identify system vulnerabilities and manage patching/upgrade activities
  • Ensure consistent rollout to regional environments through standardization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant IT infrastructure or release engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on skills in middleware installation and configuration
  • Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat), shell scripting, and source control tools (Git, Aldon, ClearCase)
  • Familiarity with message queues (MQ) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Understanding of secure application deployment, SSL setup, and multi-tier network architecture
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, patching, and hardening activities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
