The eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre in School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is looking for Research Associate, Electrical Engineering (an electrical engineer) with industrial experience in electrical systems. This research area is aligned with the university targets on more sustainable societies.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Associate's scope of work includes the following main areas of responsibility:
- Responsible for the design of overall eVTOL electrification, including power inverters, motors, power distribution unit (PDU), harness, connectors, Battery, BMS, etc.- Preparing presentations and reports for agencies and industrial partners.- Maintaining lab facilities and taking care of purchasing and other administrative tasks.- Mentoring researchers, graduate and undergraduate students.- Monitoring and aligning the work done by the different project teams, industrial partners and collaborators.- Supporting and representing the PIs in meetings and reviews.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university. Having a master’s degree will be highly considered.- At least 3 years of industry knowledge on electric drivetrain / autonomous systems. Expertise on electrical systems.- Familiar with repair of electric automotives, with practical and hands-on experience.- Meticulous and safety oriented- High creativity and hands-on experience on electrical systems.- Good team player, enthusiastic and good English skills.- Able to perform multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
