Gas Renewal Section is looking for a Technical Officer to join our team and help us in our journey to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to customers in Singapore. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team, responsible for the construction & commissioning of new gas distribution infrastructure.

**What You'll Do**:

- Oversee renewal projects to completion by monitoring project schedule and budget.
- Supervise contractors to ensure gas mains renewal projects are executed safely and efficiently. Scheduled night works and/or weekend works may be required.
- Prepare and conduct briefing of safe work procedures for testing and commissioning of gas distribution mains.
- Liaise with Authorities (e.g. EMA etc.), Agencies (e.g. LTA, PUB, Telcos etc.), customers and other stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Close monitoring of works progress to ensure compliance to safety, quality, and regulatory regulations, codes, and guidelines.
- Manage the issuance of works orders, verification of works done and completion certificates.
- Perform standby duties: Responding to project issues and/or gas leak incidents after office-hours (Approximately 2-3 times a month).

**What You’ll Need**:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment.
- Possess skills in project planning, execution, and management.
- Possess a valid driving license and having own transport would be advantageous but not necessary.
