**About the role:
**1) Plant Operations Management & Maintenance**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the wastewater treatment plant.
- Ensure the plant operates efficiently and effectively to meet treatment goals and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze process data, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to optimize plant performance.
- Coordinate with the client and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Determine the parameters for adjusting the wastewater treatment installations
- Analyse and resolve operating anomalies on the installations of a wastewater treatment plant
- Supervise the routine upkeep of the materials and equipment of a wastewater treatment plant
- Write the procedures, rules, and instructions for operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant
- Prepare plans for controlling the compliance of discharged water
- Control and accept work on the equipment and installations of a wastewater treatment plant
- Establish with external contractors safety protocol for works in a wastewater treatment plant
- Prepare crisis management plans linked to accidental malfunctions of a wastewater plant

**2) Team Management**:

- Supervise a team of shift technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among plant staff.
- Schedule work shifts, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to keep the team updated on plant operations, safety procedures, and regulatory changes.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, incident investigations, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to address potential incidents.
- Budget and Resource Management:

- Contribute to the development and management of annual operating and capital budgets for the plant.
- Monitor expenditures, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to ensure adequate availability of chemicals, spare parts, and other necessary resources and validate procurement orders

**About you**:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of more than 10 years in wastewater treatment plant operations and management.
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and experience in implementing and enforcing compliance standards.
