**Job Summary**

As our Shipping Officer, you'll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the company's shipping operations, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role requires a strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and logistics best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Shipping Coordination**:
️ Plan, coordinate, and monitor the shipment of goods, both inbound and outbound, ensuring adherence to schedules and delivery deadlines.

Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments such as Sales and Warehouse to facilitate smooth shipping processes.

Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including but not limited to commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (BL), certificates of origin, and customs declarations.

Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.

**Customs & Compliance**:

- ️ Ensure all shipping activities comply with local and international customs regulations, trade agreements, and company policies.

Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations and other required documentation for import and export.

Stay updated on changes in shipping regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements, especially those relevant to Singapore and key trading partners.

**Logistics & Optimization**:
Source and negotiate with freight forwarders and carriers to obtain competitive shipping rates and optimal service levels.

Identify and implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, modes of transport, and overall logistics efficiency.

Manage shipping-related costs and ensure adherence to budget.

Handle and resolve any shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays swiftly.

**Documentation & Record Keeping**:
Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipping activities, documentation, and communications.

Generate regular reports on shipping performance, costs, and compliance.

**Stakeholder Communication**:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all shipping-related inquiries from internal and external parties.

️ Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status and potential issues.

**Requirements**:
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding role.

Solid understanding of international shipping procedures, incoterms, and customs regulations in Singapore.

Familiarity with various shipping documentation (BL, AWB, etc.).

Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
