Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Officer / Executive for export shipments to join our dynamic team at Sanden International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Based at our Ang Mo Kio facility, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing outgoing shipping operations, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and schedule export shipments via sea, air, and direct delivery.
  2. Coordinate with the Marketing and Warehouse departments, as well as external forwarding and shipping agents, for shipment arrangements.
  3. Handle vessel bookings, container trucking, cargo inspection, fumigation, ventilation of wooden pallets, and documentation processing.
  4. Prepare and manage shipping documents, including:

    Certificate of Origin (for endorsement by the Chambers of Commerce)

    Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill (AWB) Draft

    Shipping Certificate Draft, Fumigation Certificate Draft

    Insurance coverage for all export shipments
  5. Ensure compliance with customers' Letter of Credit (LC) requirements when preparing shipping documents.
  6. Liaise with inspection and fumigation companies for cargo inspections and pallet treatments before shipment.
  7. Verify and update freight bills against shipping data.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

  1. Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of export documentation, shipping procedures, and Letters of Credit (LC).
  4. Experience in Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Preferential COO applications (e.g., Form D, E, AK, etc.).
  5. Familiarity with overseas shipping operations is an advantage.
