**SOUTH EAST ASIA MARKET ACCESS MANAGER (IDV & NS)**
The Market Access Manager for the Southeast Asia region, reporting to the Market Access Senior Manager SEA combines responsibilities for both pricing and access and is thus accountable for delivering and driving coordinated market access (MA)and pricing strategies for products or disease that fit the priorities of the relevant cross-functional team. They will provide strategic market access and pricing leadership at the brand level, representing the MA function within the XFT, building positive relationships and effective collaboration with commercial and medical partners at the regional and local level. They will influence the XFT agenda and decision-making to ensure that strategy fully meet the market access expectations in all SEA countries. They will represent SEA in brand level interactions with AP and / or Global Market Access and Pricing, providing input that influences the regional brand value propositions; assessing and seeking approval for pricing cases arising from the SEA region and working collaboratively with the SEA Pricing Manager and the AP team to review the pricing cases with Global. Furthermore, they will identify and analyse therapy area pricing issues that are/or will become business critical, and to work with the medical team and Commercial colleagues to develop clear plans that optimize patient access and improve Janssen’s competitive advantage in SEA. They will collaborate through their functional network and the XFT model to deliver efficient access in highly complicated environments across a diverse region. They must understand the requirements of the local countries and partner with local teams to develop appropriate solutions for access (i.e., reimbursed and self pay channels).
- 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own for the market access strategy for the brand(s) within the responsibility of the XFT- The MA Manager is a core member of the cross-functional team and will be accountable and proactive in crafting SEA brand strategies both within and outside of the area of functional responsibility
- Take a leadership role in representing the perspectives of MA at the XFT, bringing a strategic attitude and solution based approach to ensure that brands plans and investment decisions consider the function
- Fully engage in key XFT processes, bringing a payer and patient perspective to long and short-term business, financial and evidence generation planning
- Lead the development and deliver of a full range of tools that support optimal market access (reimbursed / self-pay) across SEA, including patient access programs
- Deep knowledge of diverse and complex market access and reimbursement processes across the region that can be communicated as insight to compliment the XFT strategy
- Budgetary responsibility for the MA TA budget as it relates to efficient and timely spend throughout the year
Lead Market Access strategy development, ensuring strategic alignment across countries- Own the communication across the AP MA functional network, bringing the Operating Company view into XFT discussions and collaborating with countries on market access tool development and dissemination
- Partner with SEA pricing manager, AP and Global colleagues on the execution of payer research and the needs of SEA
- Take accountability to build and implement innovative access model frameworks that secure pricing and access across countries and address the requirements of self-pay and reimbursed markets
- Take accountability for launch readiness for the brand ensuring markets have the tools they require, such as the value story, value messages, budget impact tools as well as timely advice on pricing, patient access programs and pricing models
- Develop deep expertise into the clinical area of responsibility, gaining a deep understanding of treatment pathways and the pathology of the disease
- Keep up to date with scientific developments, bringing the latest techniques and analyses to build the strongest possible value proposition
- Take the lead in commissioning and running evidence generation projects that fall within the remit of MA, such as database analyses and patient surveys while partnering optimally with Medical Affairs to develop compelling RWE and clinical studies that support MA
- Recommend patient reported outcome measures and studies that highlight patient burden and measure product value proposition
- Cultivate excellent working relationships and collaboration with AP regional and local market access teams, through regular country visit, creating an environment of trust that enables honest, clear discussions about pricing and access
- Champion collaboration with functions in Market Access across Access, Pricing, RWE and Policy, making sure that priorities are jointly aligned
