**Position Overview**:
**Position Responsibilities**:
**_Leadership _**
- Provide leadership within the core project development team in terms of the main guiding principles and requirements of the CCB Standards and support the team on relevant items related to the SD VISta Standards.
- Work within the core project development team to help design and shape project activities, ensuring that risk management measures have been put in place and duly considered.
- Ensure that all ClearWind projects are set to, and achieve, CCB Triple Gold rating, reaching the highest possible standards for environmental and social integrity.
- Work with our country-office teams to build and strengthen understanding and capacity to put appropriate safeguards in place and monitor them.
- Undertake on-going research and review of projects around the world, ensuring that best practices are learned and integrated into our projects.

**_Project Design Oversight _**
- Provide training, direction and advisory support to regional staff and project partners to ensure an understanding of requirements, accountability for requirements and set the bar for project excellence.
- Guide and oversee Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) plans for communities in and around our project sites and coordinate with local country teams accordingly to lead the implementation of the process.
- Lead quality assessment and control of projects against high integrity standards by developing quality assurance and control procedures and ensuring their implementation.
- Assess the social impacts of proposed NBS strategies, propose mitigation approaches where potential negative impacts are identified, and look to maximize positive and multiplicative impacts.

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- Master’s degree or PhD or a minimum of 7 years’ experience in social sciences, climate change, working on social safeguards in the land use sector or a related field.
- Experience in the development of AFOLU projects and/or programs in the voluntary and/or compliance markets working with Verra Standards is considered a distinct advantage.
- Experience conducting social surveys, data collection in rural areas and working in remote locations.
- Strong demonstrable skills working in both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Experience working in a developing country context with local communities, villages and/or indigenous populations is necessary.
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally around Southeast Asia.
- Excellent command of the English language, fluency in Thai, Cebuano, and/or Indonesian considered an asset.
