**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Head of Developer Education is a high-energy leader who has a clear vision and strong belief in helping developers succeed in the evolutionary blockchain technology, and more so, the most promising and respected Layer one protocol. This empathetic educator will create and curate consumable, friendly, and yet impactful educational content and programs for the Alogrand developer community, and broaden the reach by engaging the right education partners, institutions, and platforms globally. This role is instrumental in making Algorand knowledge accessible to any aspiring developers, to get trained, supported, and recognized in the ecosystem.

This role will report directly to the Head of Outreach & Integration


**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead all educational efforts internally and externally, producing and/or directing quality and extensive educational material
- Create and curate education resources and a robust educational program to train developers at scale in business and academic settings
- Strategize and work with Algorand educational partners around the world such as top universities, accelerators, and coding schools in providing quality educational resources
- Work closely with the Dev Rel team by keeping up with the new features of Algorand and roll out useful materials accordingly
- Create technical educational content such as coding videos, Algorand cookbook, blog posts
- Roll out recurrent (e.g., monthly) coding courses virtually with cohorts
- Run online and in-person teaching workshops and hackathons
- Collaborate with Marketing to maximize the impact of the educational sources to reach the right audience
- Staying up to date with rapidly changing technologies in Algorand’s protocol, development toolkits, and ecosystem solutions
- Thrive in a multifaceted and dynamic role of a high-growth startup environment

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience in software development
- 2+ year development, product management or research experience in blockchain technology
- 1+ years of programming language experience (e.g. Python, Javascript, Go, Java)
- Published 3+ technical media content (i.e. blogs, videos, documentation, etc) in the past year

**GOOD TO HAVE**
- Masters Degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of instructional experience teaching in an academic setting
- 1+ years of instructional experience teaching smart contract development
- Familiarity with Solidity, TEAL, PyTeal, and/or Reach languages
- Experience contributing into, or completing courses on MOOC learning platforms
