Job Summary
Responsible for monthly payroll processing, coordination with external payroll service providers, preparing payroll balance sheet accounts and assisting Payroll Manager in managing regional payroll activities.

Position requires strong collaboration with other team members and other departments in ensuring the day-to-day payroll functions are operating efficiently.

Core Work Activities
1. Responsible for accurate and timely execution of associate payroll by external service provider. This includes:
(i) Involved in the full cycle of payroll processing for Singapore and Hong Kong. Payroll processing for other countries could also be assigned.
(ii) Consolidating payroll templates
(iii) Prepare and maintain monthly payroll schedules Compute commission per compensation plan for Singapore, Japan, China.and other countries as assigned.
(v) Validate monthly payroll submissions ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with local legislation and corporate policy
(vi) Liaise with HR, Tax Consultant and Corporate to ensure expatriate tax matters are compliant with established policies and procedures
(vii) Identify and recommend improvements to payroll related work processes

**2. Prepare for local statutory submission including**:
(i) CPF submission
(iii) MPF submission
(v) Submission of AIA forms to AIA when there is new hire or resignee.
(vi) Assist in the completion of annual income & tax filings within stipulated timelines

3. Ensure adequate controls are in place around all matters pertaining to payroll:
(i) Prepare documentation and reconciliations for external audit
(ii) Maintain strict confidentiality of all associate payroll records.

**4. Prepare payroll related information and analysis**:
(i) Prepare monthly payroll information and reporting to Corporate
(ii) Responsible for monthly headcount reconciliation & payroll report to FP&A team for Forecast/Budget
(iii) Ad-hoc payroll reporting to HR
(iv) Attend to payroll enquiries from associates, internal & external stakeholders

5. Month-end closing process
(i) Raise payroll journals for upload to financial accounting system
(ii) Prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliation for payroll related accounts
(iii) Prepare monthly payroll accruals such as Commission, Annual Leave etc.
(iv) Run the commission report from Cognos for Singapore, Japan and China.

6. Regional payroll
(i) Assist in the implementation of payroll processes in new locations (if any)

7. Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.
