We’re on the lookout for a talented and creative **Pastry Chef**to take charge of the pastry program at **Bearded Bella**—our flagship Melbourne-inspired café in Tanjong Pagar. If you're passionate about pastries, thrive in a hands-on role, and love bringing new ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you

**What We’re Looking For**:
You must possess:

- Excellent **organisation skills**to manage pastry production and service prep independently
- The ability to **work solo in a fast-paced environment**, managing time and output without supervision
- Strong **communication skills**to coordinate with front-of-house and kitchen teams
- A deep **passion for baking**and the drive to create crowd-pleasing pastries
- **Creativity and initiative**to lead R&D of new menu items every 4-6 months
- A strong sense of **ownership and accountability**—this is a solo, management-level role

**Your Role Includes**:

- Running the **pastry section independently**, including full responsibility for daily mise en place, production, and service
- **Planning and producing**a wide range of pastries and cakes—both for dine-in service and counter display
- Working a **5-day week, 45 hours**total
- Leading R&D for new pastry items in line with seasonal and brand direction
- Managing **costing, portion control, and stock levels**:

- Liaising with suppliers to **reduce costs**, **source better ingredients**, and maintain consistency
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and efficiency in daily operations
