Manager, Experiential Learning

Ranked among the world’s top universities. NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) provides education within the University and the region. The incumbent is responsible for leading and implementing the existing and new initiatives to drive, facilitate and execute new opportunities for students’ I&E growth journeys as part of a holistic entrepreneurship education. He/ She is responsible for identifying and facilitating collaboration between NTU community and external stakeholders, such ESG, ACE, SGInnovate, Social Impact Catalyst, raiSE etc and government or government funded institutions. The incumbent will facilitate to connect NTU students to available resources (for example, equipment) and facilities (Innovation Ports and Makers’ Labs) on campus. He/ She will work with the relevant managers of these resources provide the necessary support to support and accelerate students’ I&E journeys.

The incumbent will work closely with the Manager, Experiential Learning, to strengthen, design and implement co-curricular activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship, and support the Deputy Director, Academic Learning and Services in driving the alignment of NTUpreneur’s student’s I&E activities, and where possible co-lead the integration of major activities with the I&E Office and NTUitive.

Key Responsibilities

Lead in identifying and facilitating collaboration between NTU community and external stakeholders, such ESG, ACE, SGInnovate, Social Impact Catalyst, raiSE etc and government or government funded institutions- Outreach, promote and raise awareness of Student I&E support on Campus.- Seek opportunities for collaborations with partners (internal and external).- Design co-curricular activities and support for students with NTUpreneur’s academic team and DD, Academic Learning and Services.- Work with NTUpreneur’s academic programme Leads or their Managers, students from NTU’s Clubs and Societies to implement approved initiatives.

Co-develop, design and execute a worldclass student venture support framework to accelerate student’s venture creation as part of a holistic entrepreneurship education- Work with Manager, Experiential Learning, DD, Academic Learning and Services, and NTUpreneur Faculty in designing and developing or enhancing a student-centric, sustainable, and effective venture builder support framework as part of a holistic entrepreneurship education.- Conduct assessment reviews to ensure its relevance and effectiveness and propose solutions to address challenges.- Initiate and organise discussions with relevant departments and Colleges across NTU to gather feedback to ensure relevance.- Draft quarterly management and evaluation reports to the DD, Academic Learning and Services.

Engage with Organisations/ members of the I&E Ecosystem in Singapore and overseas- Enhance NTUpreneur’s presence in Singapore’s I&E ecosystem.- Propose collaborative projects to work with relevant partners for example, in roadshows or competitions and other I&E activities organised by credible I&E organisations in Singapore.- Oversee the implementation of such projects.

Lead in Organising NTU Student Entrepreneurship Activities and Events as part of a holistic entrepreneurship education- Conceptualise and organise student entrepreneurship activities and events on campus.- Promote the initiatives to attract participation - in NTU, and/ or other local and international IHLs or other stakeholders.- Oversee the entire process from marketing to the final implementation of the events.- Increase the visibility and standing of such initiatives.

Oversee awards and grants, budget and resource administration to ensure effective and continuous support- Plan and oversee the operating budget.- Review, plan and allocate budgets and other resources to maximise benefits and support for student ventures.- Develop criteria for awards and grants to ensure an impartial process.- Process claims from grants, where available.- Attend to audit query and exercise.

Key Qualifications/ Competencies- Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in university and multi-disciplinary environment- Experience in the entrepreneurship eco-system is a plus- Knowledge in entrepreneurship, start-up development and ecosystem- Knowledge of best practices in venture support in worldclass universities- Knowledge in government grants, and other available support from related agencies for startups in Singapore- Experience in budget planning, managing and processing claims- Experience in fact finding and analysing data- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders- Strong written and verbal communication skills
