Business Area South-East Asia (BASEA) office based in Malaysia & Singapore is one of Region APAC business areas - dynamic with unlimited growth opportunity and looking for a Business Analyst.

The countries represented in BASEA include Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Myanmar and Brunei.

**About The Department**

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the BASEA Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, & IT team, which is responsible for driving finance, procurement, supply chain and IT strategies and supporting effective execution at an operational level across the business area.

**The Position**

The position is located in Singapore, and you will report to the Sr. Director Finance & Operations of BASEA.

As a Business Analyst, you will support BASEA Business Area Office and work closely with colleagues across the organisation in planning & reporting processes and continuous improvement projects.

You will play an active role in driving the financial planning processes, management reporting and BSC in BASEA, identify opportunities to streamline reporting, analysis and presentation of sales and cost data across the business area. You will provide support in risk identification and assessment and ensure that the Novo Nordisk risk management tools and techniques are consistently applied across the organisation.

You will be involved in numerous activities related to finance partnering and initiatives to drive value creation to further strengthen the connection between business plans, activities and resources. You are expected to invest time and effort in supporting and working alongside affiliate colleagues of all levels across the business area. You will in collaboration with your colleagues drive strategic financial discussions, challenge business cases, prepare budget material and deliver solid financial reports. You will become a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders and utilise your finance expertise to impact their financial decisions.

As the business partner in BASEA, you are also providing support to elevated affiliates and be responsible for all internal monthly and quarterly financial reporting and budgeting. You will be working closely with the affiliate’s Country Manager, Supply Chain and LOB in understanding and supporting on operational and financial queries.

Business Analyst is the key contact person for both affiliates as well as APAC - Finance employees. Due to geographical setup of BASEA, you must communicate with diverse nationalities. Main challenge is to balance the often-contradictory demands of the affiliates and APAC - Finance. Therefore, negotiation skills are required in order to find the best possible solution for all parties involved.

Besides monthly recurring tasks, you will be providing Procurement support and drive ad hoc projects to improve the quality of financial data. As new digital solutions and tools are introduced, support is required to ensure change management for new and innovative solution.

**Qualifications**

You have a University degree in Finance, Business or equivalent, preferably with a Postgraduate degree in a similar field of expertise. Preferably a least 1 to 3 years’ experience in pharma and strategic & operational with strong functional knowledge within finance, controlling, accounting and tax. Combined regional and operational experience is an added advantage.

You have a proven track record in finance strategy and are familiar with project management where prior experience will be considered a plus.

You also possess strong planning, budgeting, financial management and analysis skills and able to drive complex projects within tight timelines.

You are proficient in preparing presentations as well as experienced user of Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and SAP.

You are open-minded, proactive, a fast learner, fluent in both written and spoken English and with good communication skills. You are willing to travel at approximately 3 weeks per year within the business area and occasionally to our regional offices or HQ.
