**Programme Director for a Sponsorship Enablement Platform that supports the UN Sustainability Goal 4**

**(6 months contract extendable to a permanent position based on the outcome)**

An exciting start-up in the education sponsorship space is looking for a dynamic **Programme Director **to operationalize the platform and take it to the next level for further investment. The start-up aims to create a unique eco-system that brings micro-needs and micro-funding gaps of students pursuing tertiary education together with sponsors and commercial platforms that can fulfil them. The start-up aims to make this a self -sustaining virtuous eco system by requiring supported students to give forward.

**The job involves**:
1. Taking charge of the operational set-up of the start-up and get it ready for go-live; this would involve working with the founder, local and international merchant partners, technical teams in India.

2. Building relationships with the student eco-system, especially identifying students with unmet needs via social organizations.

3. Building relationships with and enrolling sponsors including interactions with corporates.

4. Building partnerships with e-commerce / other commercial establishments

The job is an intersection of traditional marketing / operations in an eco-system in an entrepreneurial set up.

1. Proven capability in running a Programme of work and delivering successfull outcomes.

2. Strong key accounts / sales / marketing background, preferably in FMCG / Beverage / Retail sectors

3. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with large organizations and execute programs.

4. Has the ability to understand and conceptualize the start-up’s goals.

5. Self-starter with the drive to get things off the ground

6. Has a “social conscience” since the initiatives involves supporting students in their tertiary education

7. **Initiative, innovative thinking and persev **erance are critical needs in this role.

The founder’s vision is to provide students a simple and easy platform to request support towards the ‘Total Cost of Education’ while ensuring transparency and low administrative costs for sponsors. The model will be a strong complement to traditional scholarship programs. Beneficiaries on the platform need to commit to “Pay-it-back” through volunteering or pledging to sponsor others in future thus creating a virtuous cycle of sponsorship.
