**What the role is**
- The Green Economy Agreements (GEA) team is a newly set-up unit within MTI’s Trade Division. As a first-of-its-kind agreement, the GEA sets out a comprehensive template for international cooperation in the green economy, with a view to drive decarbonisation and support the growth of cross-border green economic activities. Companies can also look forward to partnering the government on new and emerging issues in green growth sectors. To achieve this, the GEAs: i) address cross-border flows of clean energy and carbon; ii) facilitate green trade and investment; and iii) set new green economy rules and standards that are not in trade agreements today, among others.

**What you will be working on**
- To meet the GEA team’s objectives, you are expected to: i) Be closely acquainted with green-related developments, both at the government (multilateral and national) and private-sector levels; ii) Co-ordinate with relevant government agencies to ensure the coherence of the GEAs; and iii) Conduct industry consultations to ensure the efficacy of the GEAs to the private sector.

**What we are looking for**
- Have an interest in trade, economic, international relations and environmental matters;
- Able to conceptualise and articulate policies from first principles;
- Good analytical, writing, and communication skills;
- Strong personal initiative and resourcefulness;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders at all levels;
