Our client is a Japanese Start-up company and now looking for a Head of Global Finance (Investor Relations). You will be responsible for taking ownership of the company's long-term financial plan, developing a good equity story for the company, and attracting potential investors. As they move towards a future company listing, you will also lead our global fundraising campaigns.
Additionally, you will have broad visibility of all facets of the company across our various projects, which serves as a platform for many career development opportunities that will ultimately place you as a frontrunner for CFO.
【What will you be working on】
- Develop investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
- Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework
- Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties
- Manage equity research and investor relationships
- Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team
- Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business
- ** Requirement**:

- Must:

- Enthusiasm for Company’s mission
- At least one year of experience in one or more of the following (or in similar roles):
a) Interacting and negotiating with global (not only Japan and Singapore) venture capital (VC) firms and institutional investors for fundraising at the middle and later stages.
b) Experience investing in startups, ESG, and SDGs fields as a VC or institutional investor
c) Experience in advisory work in M&A, IPO, and fundraising divisions in the investment banking sector
- Basic knowledge and experience in research, strategic planning, and practical implementation, utilizing external experts in legal, tax, and accounting fields globally. Strong desire to learn about these global financial strategies.
- Have a venture capitalist mindset and are attracted to companies with a flat hierarchical structure with ownership over their work.
- Motivated to work in a flat hierarchical structure of a start-up company with ownership over their work.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Advantage (One or more of the below):

- Experience in fundraising during IPO or subsequent PO
- Experience in investor relations for listed companies
- Experience working at a startup or VC company
- Experience in preparation for listing at a startup company, audit firm, securities company, or investment bank
- Experience with consolidated financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), SFRS, etc.
- Interest in corporate operations in general and business development, not just specific areas, and the ability to handle tasks with agility and flexibility
