Clinical Research Coordinator

**Job Description**:
The Research Associate will assist Principal Investigator in clinical and animal research activities. S/he will liaise closely with doctors, paramedical staff and patient’s caregiver/family pertaining to participation of the patient in clinical research. Duties will include:
Provide clinical research support to investigators, including laboratory work, mouse and large animal (pig) handling and other research related activities.
Assist in collecting, entering, processing, compiling, verifying and analysing research data.
Provide administrative support of research activities within the department, including budgets, financial reporting procedures, and monitoring of income and expenditure, maintenance of project documentations.
Assist in production of posters, presentations and publications.
Liaise with research coordinators at division, hospital and cluster level as department representative.
Assist in maintenance of databases.
Provide collegiate support in tandem with other research coordinators in assigned projects to ensure continuity of research activities.
Monitor protocol administration for research projects within the department to ensure compliance with ethical and data protection guidelines

Job Requirements

Degree in Biomedical Science or Life Sciences with 5 years’ relevant experience
Have excellent organisational and coordination skills
Have excellent command of written and spoken English
Experience in setting up databases an added advantage
Possess excellent knowledge of laboratory management principles and procedures
Possess internal personal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal staff across departments/division
Prior research experience with at least some independent, self-designed projects
Experience with histological techniques and animal experiment
