Airfreight Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a **Warehouse Supervisor** to lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across all shifts. This role combines hands-on operational tasks with supervisory responsibilities, requiring an individual who can actively contribute while guiding associates toward meeting client expectations and operational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including packing, stowing, and order processing.
- Oversee forklift and reach truck operations to enhance efficiency; license holders will manage the full scope of warehouse functions.
- Enforce deadlines, ensuring all orders are processed by **1 pm the following day**.
- Support a seamless **24/7 warehouse operation**, managing flexible morning, night, and graveyard shifts.
- Implement competency-based training and grouping systems to upskill team members.
- Motivate and encourage attendance, particularly on low-attendance days (Mondays and Fridays).
- Coordinate with management on manpower planning, transportation for night shifts, and standby pay arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and oversee provision of required attire (safety boots, uniforms).

**Requirements**:

- Preferably hold a valid forklift license or demonstrate practical forklift/reach truck operating experience.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT competency (Microsoft Office essential).
- ERP system experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on shifts, including weekends and short activation periods (minimum 4-hour commitments).
- Supervisory or team coordination experience in a warehouse/logistics setting preferred.
