**Job Summary**
MiRXES is looking for a commercial/ sales lead for biomarker profiling products and services by using microRNA detection, NGS, Septal Transcriptomics and multi-omics technologies, focusing on adoption within BioPharma and Academic leaders through the basic research to the translation medicine and Molecular Diagnostics space.
We offer high-quality RNA research solutions with best-in-class microRNA non-coding RNAs detection and quantification performance.
This position will be responsible for direct customer management, implementation of an effective distributor/local dealer network, as well as providing technical sales service and support, for the Life science business in Japan. The role includes providing direct technical support to customers and distributors/local dealers and will take care of customer relationships and new business development within the Life science field.
This would be a great opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial individual to play a key role in MiRXES’ new phase of growth in Japan.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Business Development and Strategy_
- Lead all open sales opportunities and act as a focal for internal and external interactions.
- Drive business from targeted accounts (both side of new and existing customers) through a combination of face-to-face visits, teleconferences (internal and external), technical discussions and related activities.
- Work with our distributors/local dealers to drive the sales growth.
- Increase sales orders, maximize margin, market share, customer satisfaction of the product portfolios.

- Provide high level technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, proposal, post-sales support, seminars, quotes and promotional events.
- To be actively involved in activities necessary, supporting sales and marketing processes. This includes but not limited to contract work, distribution support, involvement in sales and technical documentation, and exhibitions.
- Measure and communicate progress against annual targets via accurate and timely reporting and forecasting. Identify gaps and develop a remediation plan as needed.
**Desired Skills & Competencies**
- University degree with a Scientific technical background
- 5+ years experience in life science companies, familiar with nucleic acid chemistry, molecular biology and Next Generation Sequencing technology (especially Septal Transcriptome and multi-omics analysis).
- Previous experience with selling or supporting BioPharma and/or Academia customers. (Sales and/or Technical) are better.
- Ability to communicate customer and market needs to teams, and to work effectively with teams and/or independently to provide our technical solutions to customers, then to interact effectively with customers (on a strategic, relationship, negotiation and technical levels).
- Experienced PC user (making documents, reports, and support materials, setting Teleconference)
- Experience working via distributors/local dealers (advantage but is not essential)
- Native Japanese speaking is essential, Business competent English is preferred.
**Package**:
- Probation Period: 3 months
- Type of employment: Permanent
- Working Hours: From 9:00 to 18:00 (1-hour break), Monday to Friday, (5 days week)
- Workplace: Base in Tokyo Office and/or work from home, possibility for domestic and international business travel
- Rest Days: Saturday, Sunday, Japanese National Holidays, summer/obon holiday (3 days) and New Year’s Holidays.
- Mandatory social insurance (Health insurance and pension insurance) and mandatory labor insurance (Worker’s accident compensation insurance and unemployment insurance) will be provided.
- Commutation Allowance will be provided, based on actual cost required
- Business travel allowance will be provided when business trip is made
- Retirement Allowance (monthly) will be contributed, under the Smaller Enterprise Retirement Allowance Mutual Aid Scheme (中小企業退職金共済制度), after probation is confirmed
**This position is based in Japan.
