The Senior Operations Project Manager is tasked with leading and managing complex projects within data centre operations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency. This role encompasses overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of critical projects related to data centre infrastructure, operations, and upgrades. The Senior Operations Project Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities, engineering, and vendor partners, to ensure projects meet their objectives, adhere to timelines, and stay within budget, all while aligning with strategic business goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through to completion, including scope definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgets. Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure projects and operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, status updates, and post-project reviews. Lead, mentor, and support project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and training to junior project managers and staff as needed.
- Champions and drives the visions and leads people through ambiguity and uncertainty. Mentor and support team members, encouraging professional development and a culture of high performance.
**About You**:
You are an accomplished project manager with extensive experience in leading large-scale operations projects. Your excellent problem-solving skills and strategic mindset equip you to tackle challenges effectively. As a proactive communicator, you excel at building relationships with stakeholders and fostering a collaborative team environment.
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is preferred.
- Experience in project management within data centre operations or a related field, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre operations, infrastructure, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
