Introduction:
At the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Healthcare Division (EIU HC), we believe that actionable strategy for our client is built on the basis of market realities, where data insights and its robust analytics drive informed decisions. For that reason, we have developed a data-centric market tracker solutions called, The Gateway that aims to provide the medtech sector with credible, actionable and granular size, share and growth insights globally.

To this end, we are looking to fill a Data Analyst/R programmer-on contractual basis. This position exists to assist the team in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, tracking, internally managing and reporting data. This position functions both as an analyst and as a R programmer.

This role will be based in Singapore. It will be a 6-month contract for a start.

Accountabilities:
**How you will contribute**:

- Design and enhance databases
- Develop reports with accurate, easy to read useful information
- Design and generate tracking and monitoring tool
- Develop the model end-to-end on R platform in consultation with the project team
- Write and maintain the necessary R scripts
- Develop the rule engine for import of data and export of output/results in desired format
- Test and review the codes to meet quality standards
- Train the project team extensively in R programming - with a focus on the tasks needed for this specific model

Experience, skills and professional attributes:

- Demonstrable and extensive experience in R programming
- Experience in handling large datasets in R
- Prior experience in developing models or modelling techniques using R, preferably in a commercial environment but relevant academic use case can also be useful
- Multiple solutions delivered to completion across the full project life cycle: inception of project brief, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and the ongoing running of the solution on a long-term basis
- Strong project delivery track record
- Proficient communication and presentation skills in English
- Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams through the product development life cycle
