**Reporting Hierarchy**:_Hostel Manager & Higher Management**_Job-scope _**
- Receive guests and arrange for their accommodation
- Maintain neatness of reception area
- Maintain guest details (ie.Passport copy and IC copy)
- Attend to needs of both restaurant walk in guests and hotel guests
- Ensure all telephone call are promptly answered and ensure proper forwarding and taking note of calls and details
- Conduct in-house on the job training for apprentice staff holding similar position
- Ensure safekeeping of valuables belonging to guest as well as hostel staff under the watch of the reception table as well as hostel lobby
- Keep a safe watch on hostel CCTV and ensure security of hostel staff as well as report all unsafe and suspicious activity within hostel premises to hostel manager and authority
- Overlook hostel cleanliness as to coordinate with Housekeeping staffs
- Assist with online hostel bookings and coordination with hostel capsule availability
- Control the hostel facilities power switches
- Assist with other reasonable ad-hoc duties as per instruction from hostel manager or higher management
- Attend to guest needs as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of hostel guests
- Interpersonal skills/Appearance _
- Maintain a neat, professional and decent outlook/appearance
- Has an outgoing, vocal, welcoming and attentive nature towards guests
- Has a pleasant smile generally for welcoming and communicating with guests
- Excellency in communicating of the English language
- Possess good knowledge in affairs that are relevant to hostel guests and about Singapore (Nearest public Transport facilities/Medical facilities/currency exchange centre etc)
- Possesses basic knowledge of tourist attractions (Able to give advice to tourists and guest)
- Able to assist when necessary to promote and advertise the hostel and its services within self ability
- Has good work ethics such as punctuality, patience In handling guests and other staffs as well as enthusiasm to carry out work
- Obedience towards reporting hierarchy
- Team-Player
- High interest level in the sector and discipline of work-line

**_Educational and experience requirements _**
- Certificate in any discipline
- Certificates in tourism and hotel management will be an added advantage
- Language Proficiency in Singaporean multi-racial national languages and other international languages or dialects will be an added advantage
- Preferably experience in front desk counter or as a receptionist in similar industry
- 2 x Full-Time position(s) available. 5 weekdays Work Week. Mid Shift of 11am to 7pm.
