JR6014 Managed NAND, System Engineering

As a NVE Managed NAND System Engineer, you will be responsible for development of ROM firmware, tools needed for debug and triage. As part of the left shift, develop ROM FW for the next generation mNAND controllers and verify/work with design and verification on enabling, running firmware in pre silicon environments. You will convert the market requirements into product design requirements and develop solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
**Title will be appropriate to years of experience (Senior Engineer / Staff Engineer / Principal Engineer **)
- 2 to 20 Years’ Experience on System Engineering and Firmware Development
- In depth knowledge and extensive experience with deeply embedded firmware development
- Demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving skills. Hands on debug and usage of debug tools and Lab tools (LA, Scope)
- FW/SW integration on a micro-controller (ARM, ARC). Good understanding of a microcontroller architecture.
- Extensive experience with C/C++ and assembly programming
- Experience in scripting languages, programming tools and environment
- Experience of the storage industry, in SSD, HDD, storage systems or a related technology
- You have a deep understanding of storage interfaces that may include PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC. SSD / NAND Domain (SLC, MLC, TLC, QLC), experience with sophisticated NAND flash and other non-volatile storage knowledge is a plus
- You possess a BSEE or equivalent required

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
You will be part of a team implementing the Managed NAND ROM Firmware for the latest UFS Controllers with a responsibility for the delivery of high quality and performance designs. You will work in partnership with the architectural and firmware leadership team defining the overall solution and then work to design, implement and then functionally test your components both in Pre silicon and post silicon environments. You will be working to ensure the delivered firmware is to a very high quality, utilizing an Agile like approach of iterative development, test driven development and continuous integration. You will need to focus on ensuring you use the highest programming standards to produce highly readable and maintainable code, in addition to meeting the performance and reliability objectives. You will work on projects from their earliest inception, through simulation and pre SoC tape out on FPGA and co-design environments, SoC bring up and support the design through customer qualification and ramp into production. It includes maintaining any meaningful documentation for all product types/tools and providing investigative support for firmware, validation, characterization, qualification, and customer issues.
