Grace is seeking a Technical Service Manager to join our FCC Technical Service team. This role reports to Senior Sales Director, Asia located at Singapore.- Job Overview- This role manages and maintains Grace's technical relationships with customers through frequent direct contact and service delivery that helps increase profits. Work closely with Sales, R&D and Marketing in identifying, developing and achieving business objectives in the assigned product platform.**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain executive and technical customer relationships at assigned accounts.
- Provide technical support to the regional sales team to achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas and gross margin targets.
- Assist in creating value documentation tools to identify and qualify value provided to the customer.
- Be the key link for customer-driven innovation via understanding and communicating current and future customer needs and value. Serve as the connection between sales, R&D, and marketing to put forth our best technology offerings.
- Recommend and implement new catalyst formulations working with R&D and technical partners and lead the evaluation of Grace catalyst performance.
- Work closely with Marketing Managers on existing products and markets in terms of the ability to compete, gain market share, grow revenue and profitability.
- Conducting technical seminars and training for customers.
- Developing, preparing, and presenting proposals that clearly illustrate customer value propositions.
- Assisting customers with troubleshooting and optimization operations and determining/ communicating value delivered.
- Leverage industry experience to work with account team to navigate customer's decision-making processes and to be an active and key contributor to customer strategic account planning.
- Serve as an expert regarding optimization of our customers' FCC assets via matching their specific objectives and constraints with our catalyst technology.
- Analyze key data (Ecat/operating) using simulation-modeling statistical tools to assess results vs. prediction and to develop presentation to communicate value delivered to all levels of customers organization.
**Required Qualifications**
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or relevant background in catalysis technologies, with a minimum of 10 years demonstrated success in the refining industry with at least 2 years of experience in refining technology or 2 years of FCC experience preferably in engineering and plant operations (preference for experience with refining/FCC economics).
- PC skills are essential with a focus on simulating and modelling.
- Proven ability to sell high-value technology (catalyst technology, process technology) with an economic value proposition.
- Effective in cross-cultural and cross-functional environments with strong communication skills.
- Proficient at establishing and cultivating consultative relationships with both executives, engineering and operations personnel at target customers.
- Strong business focus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of refining technology, operations and economics with a working knowledge of how to develop value propositions and convey these to customers through excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Clear understanding or refinery organizational designs and how decisions are made regarding value at the customer.
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
- Proactive, creative and self-motivated.
