Ctrm Test Analyst

Project Tasks
- Perform static test reviews of the business requirements/User Stories & develop both manual & automated test scenarios for different phases of testing in a project (System Integration testing/End to End/UAT/Regression/NFRs etc.) using appropriate tools and techniques
- Coordinate with various teams - Business analysts & product owners to prepare appropriate test conditions & ensure testing meets their requirements
- Ensure entry criteria are met before the appropriate test phase begins
- Ensure exit criteria are met before the functionality is permitted to progress to the next testing phase or into production
- Execute test scenarios & ensure the test results are recorded in appropriate systems and defects are identified & managed
- Create comprehensive test data combinations to ensure the correct test coverage
- Actively support agile development methods and best practices
- Create Test Plans and schedule test phases to ensure that consensus is reached regarding all the test effort required for delivery
- Support the Test lead to
- develop and gain approval of test plans where required
- coordinate UAT
- Provide Recommendation to Management & Stakeholders for Go-Live Approval
- Defect Management from identification to Resolution (working with the vendor representative)
- Daily Status on test execution during SIT and UAT Test Execution Phases
- Ensure UAT Sign-off is achieved
- Work closely with the project BA’s and ensure requirements/user stories are clearly understood
- Attend meetings with the Vendor when required by Project Management
- Ensure testing is compliant with Ampol’s Testing Practice process
- Create Test Completion Reports to outline the status of all completed work to highlight and accept outstanding issues prior to next testing phase or production
- Contribute to strategic Engineering goals within own team to promote the use of industry best patterns and practices
- Work effectively with minimum supervision

BAU
- Assist in root cause analysis of production issues & defects
- Assist is validating fixes for production issues and sign-off for deployment

Knowledge Management
- Develop and contribute to a knowledge repository for all QA artefacts and Knowledge Articles

Test Automation
- Be up to date with current Test Automation best practice frameworks to use in Ampol’s IT operating environment
- Setup Test Automation environments, prepare Test data and automation scripts based on agreed framework
- Test Automation suite maintenance & execution
- Execute Automated tests and analyse results to identify if failed test cases are a result of a system defect or Automation test script error and rectify as needed
- Report testing progress and defect metrics

Plus such duties as may be reasonably required by the company from time to time

Essential: Tertiary qualification in IT and 5+ years’ testing work experience,

Desirable: Previous testing experience in CTRM domain or products, IT Fuel supply chain space

Essential:

- Experience in creation of Test Scenarios, Test Plans, Defect Reporting and Test Case design techniques for various test phases inc. sprints, system integration testing, end to end, perf testing etc.
- Experience in conducting automation feasibility analysis
- Experience with performance testing & interface testing
- Knowledge of test case scripting practices, QA concepts & dev principles
- Ability to acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product, and process)
- Experience working in large & complex working environments
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Proficient in using Atlassian Tools like Jira and Confluence & test management tools like HP ALM, Test Rails or similar

Desirable:

- Experience in the Commodity Trading and Risk Management products testing like Endur, Findur, AgTech, EKA and/or industry is highly desirable
- Test automation frameworks and tools: ACCELQ, Selenium, BDD based framework
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Experience in API and Microservices
- General scripting knowledge for use in preparing bespoke Test automation scripts
- ITSQB foundation certificate
- Experience in Cloud Applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Experience in Big Data Analytics tools like SPLUNK

Knowledge & Skills
- Take an active role in all testing phases, receiving direction from the Test lead
- Significant knowledge & experience in conducting automation feasibility analysis and defining automation approach for automation
- Skilled in Test conditions preparation & execution along with reporting manual & automation - testing progress & defect metrics to leads
- Share inputs on project planning perspective with Test Lead
- Break down & understand functional requirements to ensure alignment to strategy
- Facilitate test data collection as required
- Identify opportunities to adopt existing solution accelerators and provide feedback based on requirement analysis
