The purpose of this role is accountable for deploying and executing the talent, development and organisation development strategy in their area of responsibility. Where relevant, the role is accountable for contributing to setting the strategic direction for their part of business, for talent, broadly or within a talent specialism, aligned to business strategy. Talent Manager roles may be generalist in nature, encompassing talent in its broadest sense, or they may be specialist in nature focusing specialist talent disciplines such as Talent Management, Learning & Development; Diversity and Inclusion; Employee Engagement; Instructional Design, Learning Technology or Talent Planning as examples.

Role Purpose
This role is accountable for deploying and executing the talent, development and organisation development strategy across Southeast Asia (SEA). With a remit across the entire talent lifecycle, this role be responsible for development and implementation of talent and learning related activity across SEA markets, both adapting Global Product to meet market needs and executing on bespoke activity required as part of local business strategy. In addition to ensuring operational excellence in the delivery of global and regional talent and learning activity, this person will provide business-orientated consultancy on specific projects, programs and initiatives across Organisational Development, Leadership & Change Management.
Expectations
Contributes to or develops SEA Talent and Learning strategy in line with global/regional & SEA’s local business strategy and HR strategy
- Leads the embedding of a positive employee experience across all relevant areas of the employee life cycle
- Ensures our talent strategy and principles are brought to life through practical, business relevant interventions
- Guides or supports development and implementation of Talent and Learning policies, guidelines, programmes, and standards in line with overall business and HR strategy, both from a content and engagement perspective
- Represent SEA on matters relating to talent development activity in regional and global forums
- Gathering external intelligence through the use of data, research and tools used to benchmark our organisational practices and enable us to adapt to changing needs when required
- Advocates for and delivers strong employee career and capability development aligned to our career framework
- Ensure global critical roles have actively managed and endorsed succession plan. Ensure SEA’s local market critical roles are locally managed in an effective manner
- Play an integral role in embedding the global EVP to enhance attraction and retention efforts
- As a Talent Champion, cooperate with the global community of talent, learning and HR professionals to share and seek out synergies and share learning and avoid duplication
- Accountable for strong data quality and accuracy and process and system discipline where relevant, E.g., Workday talent data, updating Neon, performance dash boards, etc
- Where relevant, leads and develops SEA Talent and Organisation Development team, optimises the team structure and work processes, builds, coaches, and creates a high-performing team
- Pro-actively partners, gathers feedback and input from business and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that initiatives and solutions will have the intended impact
