**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Sourcing for competitive freight rates with carriers for direct markets
- Updating Freight rates data
- Involved in daily logistics operations with carriers, freight forwarders and suppliers including execution of supply plan function
- Provide shipment status and work with global supply chain team to ensure orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner
- Validating and ensuring shipment information is up to date
- Play a role in communicating and resolving any logistics related issues
- Verify and approve freight invoices before deadline
- Address and close invoice disputes with vendors

**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Preferably Diploma in Logistics/Shipping or related field
- Minimum 1 year of logistic related experience would be advantageous
- Basic knowledge of Incoterms, shipping procedure and logistics experience will be an advantage
- Self-starter and resourceful with strong capacity in learning and understanding different markets’ related logistics and operations requirements
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and SAP will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in English is a must
- Pro-active team player to work with cross-function teams
- Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
- High attention to detail and meticulous
- Ability to problem solve and a sense of urgency
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management
- Proactively identify and resolve problems with a ‘can-do’ attitude
