Database Developer

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to support on the development, management and maintenance of our critical data assets.

Your responsibilies will be:

- Participate in the technical implementation of the project discussion, codes review and architecture optimisation
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions in MS SQL Server.
- Write clean, scalable SQLs with optimized performance, and database design.
- Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Test and deploy SQL scripts by following required processes involved.
- Develop necessary documentation related to DBMS throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with both frontend and backend development
- Background in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP).
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of operational and analytical, visualization, relational and multi-dimensional database architectures.
- Test and evaluate the system regularly to ensure the highest level of data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Design backup and recovery process to ensure availability of database services.
- Database capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning.
- Database administration and operations including troubleshooting database-related issues e.g. fix queries or store procedures.
- Maintain database dictionaries, SOPs and other relevant documentation

- This is a 12 months contract with a potential to be converted to a permanent role
