Database Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team.

  • Design and develop databases using SQL Server 2016 or above, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Create stored procedures, views, and functions that meet business requirements.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications, leveraging knowledge of database structures and query optimization techniques.
  • Develop task schedules for automation and create SSIS projects for ETL processes.
  • Design and implement reports in SSRS, providing insights into business data.
  • Maintain and optimize legacy systems, ensuring they remain efficient and effective.
  • Modify databases according to requests and perform thorough testing to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage user enquiries and issues on the helpdesk, providing timely and effective support.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2016 or above, including advanced features and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with writing stored procedures, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration services (SSIS).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
