**About the job**

As a member of the Business Navigation (BN) team, you will play a key role in supporting the Store BN Manager and the rest of the store in steering the store towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability.

You will play a key role in providing financial analysis, involved in budgeting and forecasting processes, translating the store’s strategies and goals into performance measurements through analysis and benchmarking. This is a highly visible role that represents a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of IKEA commercial operations.

**Your assignment**
- Having the full understanding of the store’s P&L, and support the Store BN Manager in steering actions to provide store in shape as new, reducing costs while considering all impacts on the store’s P&L
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process through close follow-up of the P&L, and provide regular updates and recommendations to store management on the store’s financial position
- Identify, assess, and translate key industry trends into emerging risks and strategic business opportunities that shape the trajectory of our commercial opportunities
- Provide relevant and user-friendly business information on the store’s performance KPIs through dynamic reports. You influence with data, and articulate key insights to the store management team to drive sound business decision making
- Supporting the sales team in converting performance insight into actions towards maximizing business opportunities in the most efficient and effective way. This responsibility involves tasks such as setting the daily sales estimates together with the commercial activities’ shopkeeper and the BN, using deep understanding of the different GM lines to consult on gross profit steering, informing on gaps vs. the sales plan and recommending actions to correct underperformance or to tap into commercial opportunities.
- Responsible for timely and accurate closing of the monthly account, and all necessary procedures for monthly closing and annual closing while ensuring compliance with IKEA accounting standard.
- Work closely with SO (Service Office) and store’s accounting team by reviewing and monitoring in Navision the consistency of sales and expense postings and accounts reconciliation, ensuring at all times correct accounting principles and regulations are applied.
- Actively contributing to our drive for growth and efficient operations by benchmarking and challenging our ways of working and sharing good examples with the rest of the IKEA organization

- A professional with minimum 6 years of strong finance experience and business acumen and feels invigorated by a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to influence and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution
- Process driven, result oriented with excellent analytical capability and critical thinking skills
- Meticulous with strong attention to details and follow up
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multi-cultural business partners and stakeholders, within cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Experience in ERP or financial reporting systems like TM1, MVBC, Qilksense and Microsoft office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- A retailer who contributes towards the business through actions and presence including weekends, public holidays, and on rotating shifts
